AREA and its 11 local real estate boards and more than 10,000 REALTOR® members across Alberta subscribe to five Quality of Life principles:

These principles guide Alberta REALTORS® to apply their industry knowledge and expertise to speaking out on issues that affect the Quality of Life of Albertans.
 
Over the past year, Alberta REALTORS® have been advocating on a number of quality of life-affecting fronts such as the Condo Property Act , Standards for the Remediation of Former Drug Operation Properties, and Land Transfer Tax.
